宏碁智通股份有限公司於2017年9月自宏碁集團分割設立而成，為國內第一家擁有多卡整合技術，以及世界首套符合金融等級交通票證平臺的公車智慧票證系統供應商。藉由掌握多卡整合關鍵技術，完整參與公車支付由現金、紙票轉變為以電子票證為主的里程碑。依據全台客運業者統計，本公司的公車電子票證驗票機市佔率已達60％以上，成為國內最大的公車電子票證設備供應商。

Originally started as a department in Acer Inc., one of the world’s leading ICT companies, Acer ITS was spun off in 2017 in order to be more focused on the development of ITS-related solutions. Acer ITS was the first company in Taiwan to develop a technology to integrate multi-smartcard validation and a payment platform that meets international security standards.
Acer ITS also contributed to the successful transition from paying bus fares in cash and using paper tickets to paying with an electronic ticket/smart card. It is the largest bus traffic ticket system supplier in Taiwan, with over 60% of market share. With a secure data transmission method and a stable automatic transaction transfer mechanism, the ticketing system is widely used by bus operators, processing the bus fare transactions of over NT $6 billion every year.
In addition to the success in the e-ticketing business, Acer ITS is committed to its mission to create a smarter way of transportation by offering an intelligent, cloud-based and efficient smart-parking solutions. Acer ITS has dedicated resources to the development of its core technologies - identification technology, e-ticketing transaction technology and IoT applications, and has entered the markets of railway transportation, event gateway business and so forth. Based on the solid expertise with the smart card validator that supports multiple smart cards, Acer ITS was able to develop the technology that supports the parking lot gateway management system and the automatic payment system.
Powered by a strong research and development team, Acer ITS launched the smart parking meter solution, which won the Global ICT Excellence Award- Private Sector Excellence at the 2018 World Congress on Information Technology (WCIT). With an array of sensors and image recognition technology, the smart parking meter can automatically detect when a car enters or exits a parking space, and precisely calculate the parking fee accordingly. This in turn provides more efficient parking space and rate management results for roadside parking operators, as parking tickets issued by manpower and then collected through various service channels are costly and run the risk of human error.
As Acer ITS moves forward, it aims to develop innovative technologies and solutions that meet people’s mobility needs. It will keep focusing on the development of Mobility as a Service (MaaS), the integration of various forms of transport services into a single mobility service accessible on demand.
