Our Beginning:
The year was in 1997. The economy of Saipan was flourishing that shipment of imported raw materials and goods from Asia, Australia and News Zealand to Micronesia was indeed frequent. Because the shipping lines were limited in number and in capacity, the situation imposed difficulty and high costs to businesses and the whole community. It was at this juncture that Mariana Express Lines, Ltd. heeded to the need of Saipan-based entrepreneurs for weekly reliable shipping services. The operations of MELL started with two vessels plying the route of Hong Kong, Guam, Saipan and Taiwan. With Hong Kong as the hub of operations, cargoes from the Asia Pacific and other Asian countries, Middle East, Europe and New Zealand were finally easily transported to the Island. This offered businesses more choices of products to import. Furthermore, it helped small retailers to decrease their amount of inventory due to the more frequent schedule provided by MELL. As a result, the whole community gained advantage in reduced ocean tariff by as much as 50% due to the increased volume of competitively priced products that were shipped to Saipan
本公司成立於1997年,總公司位於新加坡,初期為提供關島、賽班島之進出口貨櫃定期運輸班倫公司,為了進一步提供客戶運輸需求,陸續延伸航線至雅浦(YAP)、科羅(KOROR)、菲律賓民答那峨和密克羅尼西亞群島.2007年進一步擴充航線,增加越南海防-台灣貨櫃定期航線和香港-馬尼拉貨櫃定期航線.本於公司提供客戶迅速、準確、便利之宗旨,另外與世界知名航商APL、Yang Ming Lines、OOCL進行艙位合作提供客戶泰國-香港-台灣,蛇口-新加坡-馬來西亞-台灣,海防-香港,新加坡-香港,台灣-馬尼拉航線,以提供客戶更綿密的運輸網絡.
為進一步提升客戶服務品質,本公司陸續已在馬尼拉、宿霧、Davao、General Santos、台北、台中、高雄成立分公司及辦事處並投資專用櫃場以提升貨櫃服務水平.本公司仍將積極開拓新航線,期許成為全球最專業、服務網絡最完整的航運公司.
